Coupleof criteria that to have a college I wanted one that was small and in thecentre of town and one that had a gym and one that had good food. It just metall the things I wanted out of a college and out of my university experience

它是Sidney学校的大门，一出去就直接进入来到市中心。我还在挑选学校的情况下几个规范，希望它不必很大，坐落于城的管理中心有健身会所，有特色美食，Sidney学校就恰好考虑了我对心里高校的全部理想。

L（利亚姆）: I guess it is the wall of faces, if theydidn’t get to know people before they come. So the city is one of the smaller colleges inCambridge, there’s about 350 undergraduates. You don’t get us lost, you feelmuch more, much bigger sense of community in a slightly smaller college.You see your supervisors so regularlythat you are developed quite a personalrelationship with them and many of supervisors you will have not all but manyof them will be from your college so you will see them around college and youwill spend a sort of time speaking to them on a personal level when it is notthe sort of same dynamic of the teacher and the student. They arevery much threated as equals when you come to university in general butparticularly in Cambridge when you spend so much time with the academics.

C: This isthe dining-hall where they serve three meals a day which is handy especiallyfor some lazy boys who enjoy coming three times.

L: Reallygood food here in Sidney as well as it is one of the things that the college isrenowned for.

C: We arejust off the TV room there are three TV rooms in college. Two of them are moreweather freshers live and this one isfor abused by everyone so X FACTOR nights are very popular as is Britain GotTalent.

大家刚刚去的是电视机厅，学校里有三个电视机厅，有两个在新生儿寝室，这个是大伙儿都是会来的，尤其是X-FACTOR（综艺节目名）很火爆，自然，英国偶像（综艺节目名）也是。

L: Rightnow the moment we have fresher’s week and it is Acoustic Night live here.

现在是新生儿周，当场已经弹奏古典吉他。

C: Myfavourite place in Sidney is probably the bar mainly just because it’s so wellused, so many college bars you go in and there is no one in there and but it islovely that in Sidney student run, there is always people in there playing poolor playing darts having a casual drink. Sidney gardens are quite nice becausethey are just set-off from the main townbut since you get into them it is so quiet and it really doesn’t feel like you are in the middle of the city centreanymore.

在sidney学校我最喜欢的地区之一就值这一夜店，由于大伙儿都是会回来这儿。许多学校的夜店都无人过问，这儿备受欢迎是由于它由学员自身运营。何时都有些人在打台球、玩飞刀、或是仅仅喝上一小杯。Sidney的花苑非常漂亮，它就在繁华的城市管理中心，周边一下就平静下来，给你已不感觉置身闹市区。

L: It isreally nice to have a city just outside but also open spaces to sit …

最赞的是，仅一墙之隔，墙内是市区，而墙里却有对外开放舒服的室内空间歇息。

C: We’vegot a marquee up here on the right it’s garden-party, it is not normally thereit was here for a garden party for when the freshers arrived at the whole ofcollege invitee. In the summer, especially a lot of the people come out here toeat lunch and have p icnics. This is the final of the secret garden of Sidney,it is called Tennis Court Garden and you have a lot of parties and things herein the summer in a week which happens after exams.

大家的右边有一组跑马灯，一般它不容易在这里，可是如今正提前准备给新生儿办一场花苑聚会活动，夏季有很多人会来这儿吃午餐或野炊。这儿是sidney神秘花园的最终一部分，被称为“网球场地花苑”，这儿常常开狂欢派对，尤其是考試后的一周。

Theatmospheric Sidney is definitelyfriendly, really welcoming and fun. I think a lot of people when they came havethe conception just gonna be all work and no play and I think Sidney definitelyproves that wrong because at Sidney we have a lot of talent in music, sports.People are really on the academic side but they’re also in socializing so Ithink fun is definetely a key word of Sidney.

Sidney学校的气氛十分友善、对外开放、趣味。我明白很多人刚来剑桥大学的情况下认为只有认真学习，不可以玩耍，但我觉得sidney学校肯定不是这样的，由于Sidney学校有很多富有歌曲和体育文化技能的人。大伙儿热衷于学术研究的另外也喜爱社交媒体，因此 我觉得喜欢玩一定是Sidney学校的一个关键字。

This is theSidney freshest fiercest bit like the University freshet on a smaller scalejust for college so we’ve got sports team and Sidney societies all trying toget the freshest to join them. The best thing about Sidney is that everyone’sfits in here, everyone’s accepted for who they are and it doesn’t matter whatyou are interests or background I really think that everyone’s got a place herein Sidney which is a really nice thing to having and a really nice community tobe part of.

它是Sidney学校对于新生儿的主题活动，和牛津大学的一样，便是经营规模小一些，只对于我院学员。大家有专业队和各种各样社团活动都十分热烈欢迎新生儿添加。Sidney学校最好是的地区便是大家都能融进，不管你的兴趣爱好和情况是啥，大家都能接纳真正的你。我确实觉得每一个人都能在Sidney学校寻找自身的一片乾坤，这确实非常好，能变成这一小区的一员确实非常好。
