I. 晒太阳

“晒太阳”英文怎么说呢？你首先想到的是不是sunbathe？

Sunbathe的确是“晒太阳”，但更确切的翻译是“晒日光浴”，也就是以getting tanned为目的“晒太阳”。

1. Sunbathe 晒日光浴

注：I'm burning up，是不是和中文里的“我快被烤焦了”很像啊？但是，在中文里，只有“被太阳晒”的时候，我们才这么说。在英文中，室内室外都可以用I'm burning up，有人甚至用I'm roasting。

10. It's Boiling 热死了

Could you please turn on the air conditioner? It's boiling.

你能把空调打开么？热死了。

注：(1) 上面两个“热死了”的区别是：I'm burning up指的是自己的感受，it's boiling指的仅仅是温度高。(2) 和I'm burning up一样，it's boiling无论在室外还是室内都适用。

11. Shade 阴凉

(1) Let's go move into the shade.

咱们到阴凉底下去。

(2) Let's stand in the shade of the tree.

咱们到树阴底下站着去。
