S:老师，当肯定句变成否定句时，and会不会变成or？为什么在这个否定句上写and？

T:并列成分前有否定词时，应使用and。

此句也可说成：

There is not water or air on the moon.

S: 那否定句中,还有什么情况下用and?

T: 小结一下：

1. 简单句中含有两个否定词时用and；

People can’t live without water and air.

2. 并列成分前各自都带有否定词时用and;

He has no brothers and no sisters.

3. and 构成的并列词组；

He didn’t want to work day and night.

4. 并列成分作主语时；

You and me can’t be friends.

5. 否定的祈使句中并列先后发生的两个动作时.

Don’t drink and drive.

S: 明白了。老师，如果or并列两个主语，谓语动词用单数还是复数？

T: 采取主谓一致中的就近原则，即A or B作主语时，谓语V和就近的B保持数的一致。比如：

He or you are right.

Rain or no rain is business as usual.

有雨或没雨都正常进行。

S: 老师，那疑问句中用and还是or?

T: 疑问句中，表选择时用or,即构成选择疑问句。表并列是and。比如：

Would you like tea or coffee?

你想要茶还是咖啡？

Would you like tea and coffee?

你想要茶和咖啡吗？
