　　even的用法：

　　adv.

　　even作“确实是”“甚至是”解时主要用在表示意外的词语前加强语气,可用来修饰动词或名词。

　　even也可放在形容词或副词的比较级前加强语气,意思是“更加”“愈加”“还”。

　　even的位置应靠近它所强调的词或短语。一般须置于系动词be或助动词、情态动词之后,实义动词之前。在句中位置的不同影响整个句子的意思。

　　not even表示一种反面的意外事情,指连最低级限度的情况或最小的事物都不存在。

　　在下面的用法中, even可作“甚至可以说”解。例如:He is willing, even eager, to do it.他很乐意,甚至可以说迫不及待地想做这件事。

　　在表达让步的最高级结构中,由于句中含有“虽则”的意味,所以不再用even。但在比较级结构中则可以用even。试比较:

　　In the coldest day he will go skiing.即使在最冷的日子,他仍要去滑雪。It was cold yesterday, but it's even colder today.昨天冷,今天更冷了。
