上面说到英语学习的乐趣，其实就是自己全心投入和主动参与了英语的全活动过程。全活动参与，应该是很多主动学习者的共性。就是说，要全方位参与英语学习。除了朗读和抄写这些普通功课之外，还需要动态地、发展地、持续地、反复地、多内容地、多形式地参与到所有与英语有关的学习上来。做到这点，就已经算得上废寝忘食了。为此，经常错过饭点和就寝时间，我挨了我母亲不少的慈爱的“唠叨”。

我的日语学习过程并不顺畅。究其主要原因，就是自己内心的坚持松懈了，没人监管了，没有日语学习共同体了。现在想来，坚持是需要极大的内驱力。有人说，汉语和英语学得好，日语少烦恼。日语的文字构成，就包含了假名(平假名和片假名)、汉字和外来语等。其中，汉字就是来自我们中国的，认起来自然没有了难度。比如，飛行機(ひこうき)，汉语是飞机。 而外来语里面，英语也有不少。例如，アップル(あっぷる)，就是英语apple的谐音。

As mentioned above, the fun of English learning was actually that I devoted myself to and actively attended the whole process of English activities. Whole-hearted participation into all learning activities should be common to many active learners. In other words, we should get involved into English learning in an all-round way. In addition to these ordinary practices of reading and copying the words and lessons, we should also engage into all English-related learning dynamically, developmentally, continuously, repeatedly, in diverse contents and various forms. To do this might be to forget to eat and sleep. For this reason, I often missed my dinner and bedtime, and then I got a lot of loving "nagging" from my mother.

My Japanese learning process is not smooth and stable. The main reason is that my inner persistence is lax, there is no supervision, and there is no Japanese learning community. Now when I think about it, persistence genuinely required great internal drive and motive from my deep heart. Some people say that if your Chinese and English are good, then you learn Japanese in less trouble. Japanese characters include Kanas (Hiragana and Katana), Chinese characters and foreign words. Among them, Chinese characters come from China, so it is naturally not difficult for us to recognize them. For example, 飛行機(ひこうき), Chinese is an “飞机（aircraft）”. There are also many foreign words in English. For example, アップル (あっぷる) is the homonym of English “apple”.

母亲对我的“唠叨”，往往都是来自我学习方面的。初中时期，我们同一个村同一个年级的小伙伴有十来个。大家听老师说要努力锻炼身体，才能有好的体魄来学习。我们经常约在早上五点左右就起床跑步，有时做过凌晨三点、四点开跑。上学前可以绕着附近三、四条村庄的外围村道跑完一圈，偶尔多出的时间就打打篮球。回家后接着早读、背诵和默写英语。之后经常顾不上吃早餐就蹬上自行车去学校了。

和英语的26个字母的学法类似，如果把日语假名哼唱成一支小曲，记忆会异常深刻。有人就说了，怎样的曲子好记啊？这个可就因人而异了。比如，孩童可以来上一段“1-2-3-2-1”或“星星之歌”。成年人则可来一段“英语字母歌”或“生日歌”的旋律作曲配上假名做词。大家可不要小看这个日语五十音图的重要性啊。不论成人，还是儿童，只要我们学会了、记住了、会写这些日语假名了，日后我们学习日语句子和文章就简单多了。

Mum's "nagging" to me often came from my study. During junior high school, we had more than ten playmates in the same village and from the same grade of the same school. We heard from the teacher that we should do exercises hard in order to have a good physique to study. We often got up and ran around 5 a.m. and sometimes started running between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. Before school, we could run along the peripheral roads of three or four villages nearby, and occasionally played basketball in extra time. Then I recited and wrote English from memory and did morning reading of English after going home. After that, I rode my bike to school without eating breakfast.

Similar to the learning method of 26 letters in English, if you hum Japanese Kanas into a small song, you will be deeply impressive of them. Someone said, what kind of music is easy to remember? This varies from person to person. For example, children can come to a "1-2-3-2-1" melody or "Song of Stars", while adults can come to a melody of "English Alphabet Song" or "Birthday Song", with Kanas as words. Do not underestimate the importance of this Japanese Fifty Tone Chart. Whether adults or children, as long as we can learn, remember and write these Japanese Kanas, this will be much easier for us to learn Japanese sentences and articles in the future.

那我每天是怎么学英语的呢？这要分两个方面来说。一个是课堂上怎么学。一个是课后我怎么学。首先，说说我的课后学习过程吧。作为学生，预习和复习是必须进行的。虽然花时间，但是熟能生巧。复习方面，把当天在课堂上新学的单词、词组、句子和课文，进行中英文复习。既有课本上的，也有课堂做的笔记。既要朗读，也要背诵和默写。临晚睡前的复习，是很少有人做到的。但效果真不错!

那日语，我怎么学呢?因为有汉语和英语基础，我在学会了日语假名后，主要是通过通读同一水平的日语教材来学的。可能有人困惑了，初级日语的各类教材，难度一样。为什么要同时学几本一样水平的日语书呢？虽然日语的词汇量大，但汉字和英语不少，好认。初级的几本日语书，其实反复出现的词汇相当，这样短时间就可以重复和巩固新学的单词、词组、和句子结构了。记忆效果特别好。

How do I learn English every day? This should be divided into two aspects. One is how to learn in class. The other is how I learn after class. First of all, let's talk about my after-school learning process. As a student, preparation for and revision of the lessons are necessary. It takes time, but practice makes perfect. In terms of revision, go over the new words, phrases, sentences and texts learned in class that day in both Chinese and English. There is not only the new knowledge in textbooks, but also the one from in-class notes. We should not only read aloud, but also recite and write silently. Few people do the revising just before going to bed at night. But the effect is really fantastic!

Then how do I learn Japanese? Because I gained a basic knowledge of Chinese and English, after learning Japanese Kanas, I mainly learned Japanese by studyinging textbooks at the same level. Some people may be confused. All kinds of textbooks for primary Japanese possess the same vocabulary and grammar. Why learn several Japanese books of the same degree at the same time? Although each Japanese book has a large vocabulary, there are many Chinese characters and English words，which are easy for us to recognize. In fact, the various Japanese books of junior level share quite a lot of words, so that the newly learned words, phrases and sentence structures can be repeated and consolidated in a short time. The memory effect is particularly awsome.

在预习方面，针对第二天要学习的新的英语内容，我会查单词、组词和造句子。如果你有中英双解字典就最好了，这些字典里同时有汉语解释英语单词、也有英语解释英语单词，牛津双解字典、朗文双解字典都可以。因为用英语学习英语，是最地道的学习方式。如果有时间，可以阅读英语课外报纸、杂志和经典读物。另外，晚上睡在床上时，我还会闭眼冥想当天的音标、单词、词组、句子和文章。想得兴奋时，可能就一时半会睡不着了。其次，课堂学习，主动参与朗读、听写、背诵、对话、演讲和做笔记和提问，不会不懂的都记下并且问老师和同学。

另外，日语一本书读法，特别是那些含有日语单词和句子的教材，我们要经常对汉语和日语进行反复朗读、背诵、默写和分类做笔记。初级日语书选一本就行，到了中级，也还要常读这本初级书。中级日语书选一本，高级也选一本，以此类推。所以，到现在为止，关于初级日语、中级日语和高级日语，我总共有三本书一直在无限复习中。那时不懂心理学专业知识，现在终于知道预习、复习以及一本书反复学习，在心理学上，就是应对遗忘规律的。

In preparation for the new English lessons to be learned the next day, I will look up words, list phrases and make sentences. It's best if you have advanced Chinese-English dictionaries. These dictionaries present both Chinese and English explanations, illustrations and interpretations. Either an advanced Oxford or Longman dictionary of Chinese-English can be helpful. Because learning English in English is the most authentic and native way of learning a language. If you have time, you can read English newspapers, magazines and classic stories after lesson. In addition, when I slept in bed at night, I would close my eyes and meditate on the English phonetics, words, phrases, sentences and articles of the day. When I was excited meditating my English harvests of this day, I was not be able to sleep for a while. In the second aspect, when in class learning, I actively participated in reading aloud, dictation, recitation, dialogue, speech, taking notes and asking questions. I would not write down and ask teachers and students what I just didn't understand.

As for the method of Reading-One-Japanese-Book, especially those teaching materials containing Japanese words and sentences, I would generally read, recite, dictate and take notes repeatedly in Chinese and Japanese. We only need to select one of those primary Japanese books. When we reach the intermediate level, we have to read this primary book once and again. Then choose one intermediate Japanese book, one advanced Japanese book, and so on. So, up to now, I have a total of three books of elementary Japanese, intermediate Japanese and advanced Japanese, which have been under infinite revision and re-study. At that time, I didn't understand the professional knowledge of psychology of language acquisition. Now I finally know that preparation, revision and re-learning of just ONE book of the same level are the way to deal with the principle of forgetting in psychology.

许多人问过我: 如果我们专门看外语新闻、看外语电影电视，听外语歌曲，我们能学会英语和日语吗？这个问题，好多人一定都纠缠了很久。毕竟这样学会外语的人也有不少。只能说，学英语和日语的切入口和突破口，每个人都有所不同。有的人听力特别敏感，一听就会，再听能够复述，接着听就懂意思了，然后就可以自由脱口而出。但有的人笔头记忆会异常优秀，凡是写过的外语，都能记住，做笔记和写日记的话就最好了。还有的人呢?看外语电影电视，看了三遍，就能如数家珍。

当然，我个人更提倡：首先我们全面参与学习，听说读写都做到，有固定的教材可以经常复习。其次，我们也要有选择性的报纸、杂志、电影、歌曲、经典外语读物。这样说来，我建议我们每天进行早读、晚读、背诵、默写和笔记新单词、新词组、新句子等。另外，当然，喜欢外语电影的人，就多看并模仿电影台词。喜欢音乐的人，也可以多唱外语歌曲，直到对这些外语歌词烂熟于心。总之，基本功扎实了，学习英语和日语的效果自然就来了。

Many people have asked me: "If we focus on reading newspapers of foreign languages , watching foreign language movies and television programs and listening to foreign language songs, can we learn the two languages-English and Japanese well?" Some people must have been entangled with this problem for a long time. But in practice, quite a number of people learn foreign languages in these ways. It can only be said that the entry point and the breakthrough point for learning English and Japanese are different for everyone. Some people are very sensitive to listening. They can repeat it as soon as they hear it, then understand the meaning, and later they can blurt it out fluently and freely. But some people have excellent written memory. They can remember any foreign language they have written. It's best for them to take notes and keep a diary. Who else? Watch foreign language movies and TV. After some guys have seen the films and watched TV for three times, they might speak them out.

Of course, I personally advocate that: first, we fully participate in learning, do listening, speaking, reading and writing, and have fixed teaching materials that can be revised frequently. Secondly, we should also have certain selective newspapers, magazines, films, songs and classic foreign language books. In this way, I suggest that we do morning and evening reading, recite, dictate and take notes of new words, phrases and sentences every day. In addition, that's for sure, people who like foreign language films will watch and imitate the lines of the film. People who like music may also sing more foreign language songs until they are familiar with these foreign language lyrics. In short, with solid basic skills, the effect of learning English and Japanese will come true naturally.
