北京时间7月10日，前湖人明淑保罗加索尔在接受一档节目采访时表示，湖人将在下赛季退役16号球衣。

保罗加索尔效力湖人7年，共计出战429场比赛，场均可以得到17.7分9.9篮板3.5助攻1.4次盖帽，其中两度帮助湖人夺冠，湖人此前已经退役了10位球员11个球衣号码，加索尔有望成为队史第11位获得球衣退役资格的球员。当16号球衣战袍紧挨着科比球衣，这一幕太感人了！
