灯焰就像山峦，顶峰处也是蓝色的。在那山脊上

也许也有积雪，有一些岩石，散发着光芒

在那山脊上可能也有人站着，远眺着天空的边际

太阳还在很远的地方升起落下，落下升起

灯更像是专门为了锻造什么而生起的

炉火，深夜中，一个身影一直在它旁边忙碌着

挖掘的人、逃生的人、写作的人，都在灯边

灯能为所有幻想燃烧到天亮

灯担负着自己光的重量，静立在桌上

在灯焰中，几乎所有的油都燃烧着

当它耗尽，一切也许就会呈现另外一种面目

但那，仍然还得通过灯来辨认

通过灯，事物把影子留在墙上，甚至灯自身

都会有一道影子，因为光的存在

灯走出屋子。灯上到高山之巅。灯来到了海上

闪耀着，也渴望大海枯去，渴望着水的宁静和冰凉

THE LAMP

The flame is similar to a mountain, whose precipice is also blue.

Perhaps snow and boulders sit on the ridge of the mountain, reflecting light.

Someone may even be standing on it, looking at the edge of the sky.

The sun continues to rise and dip, dip and rise.

The lamp seems to be there specifically to forge something.

A stove, in the middle of the night, a silhouette busy by its side.

An excavator, a refugee, a writer, each huddles by the lamp.

It burns for their imaginings until the break of dawn.

The lamp carries the weight of its light, standing quietly on the table.

Every drop of oil takes part in fueling the flame.

When all is used up, things will take on a different look,

but it will be recognizable with the help of the lamp.

Because of the lamp, things cast shadows on the wall, even the lamp itself

casts a shadow. There is light,

therefore lamp walks out of the room, finding its way to the mountaintop.

It also finds its way to the sea.

As it glows, it hopes that the sea will dry up,

it hopes that the water will stay calm and stay cold.

李志勇，汉族，中共党员。1969年10月生于甘肃临潭县，1991年毕业于兰州师专。先后在甘南师范学校、中共甘南州委秘书处、中共临潭县委工作。曾任中共临潭县委常委、纪委书记。现任甘南州农机局副局长。1988年开始在《诗刊》、《诗歌月刊》、《星星诗刊》、《诗歌报月刊》、《汉诗》等国内报刊发表诗歌作品，并被《本草集》、《经典情诗99首》和一些诗歌年度选本等选载。曾获《诗歌月刊》“第三届爱情诗、探索诗大赛”探索诗特等奖。著有诗集《绿书》。

Meifu Wang (王美富)

美籍华人，出生于台湾，现任《廿一世纪中国诗歌》主编兼翻译。曾获台湾大学外文学士，加州大学以及普渡大学双科学硕士。曾任世界银行交通专家，美国交通部工程师。现定居于美国西雅图，全心投入文学。

Ms. Wang is the editor and co-translatorof bilingual poetry journal 21st Century Chinese Poetry.Born in Taiwan, Meifu Wang earned her BA inforeign languages and world literature from National Taiwan University. Her poetry has appeared in Chinese and American literary journals. Ms. Wang also earned Master's degrees in natural sciences, and worked in these fields in Washington D.C and overseas. Meifu received a 2013 Henry Luce Foundation Fellowship for Chinese poetry translationfor a residency at Vermont Studio Center. In 2016, she also accepted the appointment by Ningxia Province Poetry Society as its contracted literary translator. She lives in Seattle, USA.

Peter Micic (彼得)

澳大利亚墨尔本人，音乐家，通晓多种语言，历史家，作家，诗人，茶博士，蒙纳西大学语言学学士，音乐硕士，音乐历史学博士。

Born in Melbourne, Australia, Peter Micicis a musician, polyglot, historian, writer, poet, and tea aficionado. Peter is a graduate from Monash University, Melbourne : Linguistics, Chinese; M.A: Music; PhD: Modern Chinese Music History).

Mike Soper (苏浪禹)

美国华盛顿市人，曾任报社编辑，潜水艇水手，美国政府行政主管。对中国文字和诗歌有浓厚兴趣。他的著作包括四本个人诗集。

Michael Soper was born 1946 in Washington DC. He was the last hot-metal apprentice typesetter in that city, and was intrigued by the challenges of word processing for Chinese character fonts. When the Washington Star newspaper ceased publication in early August 1981, he returned to college and did a major in business with a minor in computers. Michael went on to work for the US government as a printer, publications system manager, editor, and contracting specialist. He has been translating Chinese poetry for almost twenty years. Michael has authored eleven books, most of which are poetry.

Johan Ramaekers（约翰）

比利时根特城人，诗人，歌词作家，通晓多种语言，大学主修德语语文学，作品进入荷兰以及比利时现代音乐排行榜。

Bornin Tongeren, Belgium, Johan Ramaekers is a lyricist, polyglot, and poet. Hestudied German philology at Ghent University (1986-1990) where he also majoredin Dutch and English and co-founded a literary magazine called Parlando Furiosowhich literally means "Speaking Furiously." Johan is also aregistered psychiatric nurse specializing in gerontology and dementia. He livesin Ghent, a city in the Flemish region of Belgium.

一百年来，汉语新诗的发展与外国诗歌及其翻译的影响密不可分，但双方的互动也始终存在不对等的问题。随着中国当代文学的崛起，当代汉语诗歌期待在更广阔的语境中发声，同世界文学达成愈加丰富的交流与对话。

为进一步繁荣新时代诗歌，推动汉语诗歌走向世界，激励本土诗人们创作出具有世界影响力的优秀作品，中国诗歌网与美国华盛顿PATHSHARERS BOOKS（出版有季刊21st Century Chinese Poetry）合作开展汉诗英译活动。《诗刊》每期刊登的诗作及中国诗歌网“每日好诗”中的佳作，将有机会被译成英语，刊于21st Century Chinese Poetry，并在中国诗歌网做专题展示。
