一个名字传达不了太多，是对名字后面含义的解释。

对端午节的解释当然是端午节的几个重要传统习俗。

一、粽子、rice-dumpling/zonzi。

端午节的时候，粽子地位应该是最重要的。粽子英语是：rice-dumpling，是比较书面的表达，更多使用的表达是zongzi，即粽子拼音的直译。因为是中国特有的食物，所以直译也没问题。还有很多汉语拼音直译，如饺子的“吉雅吉”。还有完整的拼音、近似的直译豆腐的“tofu”、功夫的“kung fu”。

因为外国人没有粽子概念，所以叫什么名字，他们都是无知的面孔。那么我们干脆说宗子。

重要的仍然是粽子解释。
